Regina Calton Burchett has been a pastel artist since 1999, and in 2012 she moved from the open spaces of Texas to the beautiful and green state of North Carolina.

She graduated from Michigan State University, studying textiles and art. Over the years, she has studied drawing, painting, calligraphy, stone sculpture, weaving, computer art and animation, and creating websites. Regina has continued her art studies with many well known pastel artists, including workshops with Cara Reische, Will Klemm, Susan Carlin, Richard McKinley, Bob Rohm, Claudia Seymour, Liz Haywood-Sullivan, Fred Somers and Barbara Jaenicke.

Regina teaches drawing and pastel classes at her studio, and gives demos and workshops on painting skies. She was a finalist in The Artist’s Magazine’s 29th Annual Art Competition and was recently the featured artist in the Informed Collector Daily Brief. She won 2nd place in the North Ridge Country Club Art Gala for 2015, and was also accepted into the Carolina's Got Art Exhibit at Elder Gallery in Charlotte for May, 2015. Regina gladly accepts commissions, and works from her studio in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
