PROGRAM / DEMO - Addren Doss: "Birds of a Feather"

  • Community Room of the Matthews Community Center, 100 McDowell Street East, Matthews, NC Program time is 9:30 am till 12:00, and includes some social time and a light snack. Our meetings are open to all PPS members and their guests. (No cost)

Morning Demo:  Addren Doss: "Birds of a Feather"


Addren will demonstrate a painting of a large rooster with colorful plumage. She will talk about how she chooses her subject matter, materials, and process, then lay out the drawing and get the painting going.


Artist Statement: "Light falling across an object, tree, beloved pet. The broken color and textures created with pastels and oils. The whisper of the pastel as it glides across a sanded surface. The movement, push and pull of the oil paint as it is applied with a knife. These are the things that excite me and call for me to paint them."


Community room at MCC. No cost to members or guests. No need to register unless you are also attending the afternoon workshop.
